PRESS has been managing this 4 week, academic summer fun program since 2012. The main purpose of the program is to help elementary school children to maintain their skills in reading and writing over the summer – in a way that combines learning with fun. Academic instruction is blended with crafts, games and outdoor recreational activities. All grade one students and academically at risk students from grades 2 – 4 are invited to attend the Read and Rec program at no charge. Other students from grades 2, 3, and 4 are welcome to attend for a nominal fee of $100 for the 4 week session. The programs have proven to be very popular with parents andstudents over the past six years.
